Objective of Summit

In today's world, scientific temper occupies the centre stage in deciphering the nature of reality. Contrary to the preconceived notion of being dogmatic and ideological, ancient Vedantic theological tradition conforms to the highest kind of rational enquiry. Thus, scientific progress can be expediated by such a body of knowledge. The e-summit aims to foster scientific discussion on this prospect.

What would happen in summit?

The creator (isvara), individual fragmental conscious entity (jiva), material nature (prakriti), time (kala) and activity cycle (karma) are constituents of such a theological framework. In this summit, our  global experts  Prof. Laxmidhar Behera from IIT Kanpur and Mr. Akhandadhi Das from Science and Philosophy Initiative, London, UK would shed light on the philosophical, scientific and technological investigation into nature of conscious perception (the so-called hard problem) and the alternate paradigm. A discussion on consciousness brings in theological and scientific apprehension on Darwinian and chemical evolution of life. Dr. Michael A. Cremo, the famous author of "Forbidden Archaeology" would talk on the cyclic nature of evolution of time and its connection with the archaeological records which strongly favour extreme human antiquity. Dr. Mauricio Garrido from BIHS, Florida would share his research on Vedantic cosmology cast into modern scientific rigor. Scientific temper as a great tool is very much an integral part of Vedantic theology. So, science and religion need not be at war for sovereignty over truth. Prof. Gopal K Gupta from University of Evansville, USA and Prof. Suresh Bhalla from IIT Delhi would talk about the connection between science and Vedanta.
