Today almost every human being is facing the stress problem which has become a major problem for society, even bigger than the corona pandemic. This talk will address whether the stress is of our own doing or it has been thrust upon us or both. It will also address its symptoms and the various solutions available to us. We will get to know how we are running after superficial things instead of essential commodities. The coronavirus pandemic is giving us a good lesson regarding the above. A life given to us is not complex, we are complex.

Shashank Srivastava is a bachelor in mechanical engineering with masters in aerospace and doctorate in biomedical structural health monitoring from IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi respectively. He has cumulative experience of 13.9 years in industry, DRDO and teaching. He has previously worked as senior engineer in the maintenance dept. of Jubilant Organosys Ltd. for the health monitoring of vapour compression and vapour absorption refrigeration systems and thereafter conducted research for developing life support systems for fighter pilots at DRDO. His areas of interest are application of smart materials for health monitoring of biomedical specimens, aerospace and mechanical structures.
