Science has emerged as the objective handle over truth. As we trace its history and how it evolved from its precursor, "Natural Philosophy", we come across spectacular discoveries and accompanying philosophy that paved the way for it.
As such science as a discipline today does not restrict itself to any particular kind of philosophy with a prime focus on empirical truth. However, philosophers ascribe "methodological naturalism" or "physicalism" as the epistemological basis of scientific practice because it is strictly explores truth in "physical" world.
However, as the current state of development stands, we are at cross roads in search for truth of life and cosmos. There are some very baffling issues that simply stare at us as we march towards a reductionist version of truth of life and cosmos. In this very fascinating and thought provoking talk, Dr. Jyotiranjan Beuria will lead us in a historical and philosophical journey with scientific conquest.
